BUCHAREST – SINAIA – BRAN - BRASOV – SIGHISOARA
The tour starts in the morning at 8AM. Your guide will pick-up you from your hotel. On the way to Sinaia you are going to get information about the history of Romania or other interesting topics.
Sinaia, the famous mountain resort located at the feet of the Carpathian Mountains, is going to be the first stop. Here you’ll visit the Peles Castle, one of the most amazing castles of Europe. Built at the request of King Carol I, the castle was the most modern castle of its times.
In Sinaia you’ll get to visit the local monastery, an impressive testimony of the Neo-Byzantine art.
Further on you’ll reach Transylvania where you’ll stop in Bran, probably the most famous landmark of Romania. Here you’ll visit the Bran Castle known as well as the Dracula Castle. The tour continues in Brasov. One of the most developed tourist destinations of Romania, Brasov is a fine example of a medieval town built by the Germans 800 years ago. You’ll take a short walking tour of Brasov, admiring the Black Church, the symbol of Brasov, and other landmarks.
In the end you’ll reach Sighisoara.
Overnight in Sighisoara.
Day 1
SIGHISOARA
- VISCRI – SNAGOV – BUCHAREST
In the morning you’ll be overwhelmed by Sighisoara, an amazing medieval citadel of Europe. You’ll enjoy a walking tour of the citadel perched on a hill. You’ll admire the house where Vlad Dracul lived and the Clock Tower, symbol of the citadel.
Then you are going to dive deep into the amazing world of the Transylvanian villages. You’ll reach Viscri, a famous tourist destination of Romania especially since Prince Charles of Wales purchased an old Saxon house which was transformed into a B&B. The village of Viscri boasts quaint streets and an amazing fortified church, part of the UNESCO site.
